Kendall and Kylie Jenner slam Tupac copyright lawsuit

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are adamant a lawsuit filed over their vintage Tupac Shakur T-shirts has no merit because the photographer doesn’t own the copyright.
The famous siblings received serious backlash after unveiling their line of T-shirts featuring pictures of artists including the Notorious B.I.G. and The Doors, with the girls’ faces printed over the top.
Despite pulling the items from their Kendall + Kylie clothing line and apologising, photographer Michael Miller filed suit for copyright infringement, claiming Kendall, 21, and Kylie, 20, used his images of late rapper Tupac without his permission.
But representatives for the sisters’ label denied the allegations, previously releasing a statement insisting there has been “no infringement or violation of anyone’s rights”.
Now the reality stars are pushing back against the claims in their lawsuit response, alleging Miller is not the creator or author of the images, according to TMZ.com. They also claim Miller is possibly only entitled to a “thin copyright protection”.
In the aftermath of the backlash, the stars apologised several times, noting they “did not mean to disrespect these icons” and insisting they understood they had missed the mark with their idea, which also prompted outrage from estate officials for the Notorious B.I.G. and The Doors.
Sharon Osbourne, whose rocker husband Ozzy of Black Sabbath also featured in the line, shared her disappointment in Kendall and Kylie too, urging them to stick to lip gloss in reference to their beauty ventures.
