Kerry Katona weeps as she discusses birth trauma

British pop star Kerry Katona broke down in tears as she discussed the traumatic birth of her fifth child during a live U.K. TV interview on Wednesday (07Mar14). The Atomic Kitten singer was visibly moved she opened up on magazine show This Morning about how her newborn daughter Dylan-Jorge almost died last month (Apr14).
Explaining the moment doctors rushed into action when the tot stopped breathing, Katona said, “They put her on my chest and something just didn’t feel right… the baby’s not breathing, so they took her off me.
“So a crash team came and took her off me and she completely died.”
The singer has previously revealed how she was also left fighting for her life and required emergency surgery after her placenta failed to come out.
Katona explained that experts are still unsure about what happened to her or her daughter: “They had 101 reasons what could have happened… she came out so fast that she reverted to how she was in the womb, living off the placenta… they put her on a life support machine.”
Dylan-Jorge is Katona’s first child with fiance George Kay. She has four others from previous relationships.
