Kevin Costner hates his voice

Kevin Costner was convinced he’d make a terrible dog in new movie The Art Of Racing In The Rain – because he hates his voice.

The Dances With Wolves star doesn’t appear in the new film but plays Milo Ventimiglia’s thoughtful pet, Enzo, and he’s still not sure the filmmakers’ choice to ask him to give the pooch a voice was a good idea.

“I had to think about it because I didn’t like my voice and I thought, ‘You need to get somebody else to play Enzo – maybe get an Italian…’,” Kevin tells Good Morning America.

“That’s why (as an actor) you’re trying to invent voices all the time – because you don’t like your own.”
