Kilmer ‘dies’ in Tenacious D skit

The group is preparing to release a new album, Rize of the Fenix, in May (12) and a new comedy video to promote the record shows the Batman Forever star diving in front of Black as his bandmate Kyle Gass aims a gun at him.

Kilmer, sporting a fake bullet wound, then acts out giving a dying speech to Black, imploring him to reunite Tenacious D.

He says, “Don’t worry, Jack. It was worth it. See, I didn’t take a bullet for you… I did it for both of you. For the D. You’re the reason I got into this crazy business…”

The video then shows Black and Gass training for their comeback by running up hills and receiving music lessons from Dave Grohl and Josh Groban.
