British pop star Kimberley Walsh is mourning the death of her grandfather. The Girls Aloud singer tells Britain’s OK! magazine she recently lost her beloved grandad, and admits his passing has taught her an important lesson about treasuring her loved ones.
She says, “It doesn’t matter how amazing your life might seem to other people… if anything’s not going well or I’m having a tough time – I lost my grandad recently – it throws you off…
“He was nearly 93, he had an amazing life and he was an amazing person, but it’s still hard to go through those experiences. So when everything’s good, I’m happy. I don’t have much to complain about. It’s hard because you think they (family members) are always going to be there and then they’re not.”
