“Knight Rider” revs up for a return

David Hasselhoff is taking American television back to the 1980s. The hunky star of the series Knight Rider, which originally hit the airwaves in 1982, revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he is bringing back the series to television. The new series will feature a more modern talking car, called K.I.T.T., which will again have the voice of William Daniels, the current president of the Screen Actors Guild. Hasselhoff will reprise his role as Michael Knight, only this time he’s the wiser older figure, mentoring the new young guns.
