Kristen Wiig regrets getting a zodiac symbol tattooed on her back.
The Bridesmaids actress made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night (06Dec17), where host James pointed out that they share the same 22 August birthday.
While diving into a discussion of the validity of astrology and their Leo star sign, Kristen divulged that she was inked with an image of the lion motif during a spontaneous trip to a tattoo parlor when she was younger.
“I got a tattoo with a friend of mine when I was very young,” she shared. “She got like a cherub or something, and I was like, ‘I’m a Leo.’ So, I got a Leo on my back. It’s a symbol.”
While Kristen initially was happy with the Leo symbol, she later realized that it didn’t really resonate with her personally. Accordingly, she decided to add some more decoration to the image on a whim not long after she first relocated to Los Angeles.
“It’s grown. Because I was like, ‘I don’t really believe in astrology, why do I have this?’ I was walking down the Boardwalk in Venice (Beach, Los Angeles) by myself, it was right when I moved here, and I was like, ‘I’m going to change my tattoo?’ I went in and was looking in books and there was the Om symbol, so I got that. Then I was like, ‘Maybe add some branches?'” the 44-year-old recalled.
Kristen avoided giving audience members a glimpse of the body art, but she did confirm that she was undergoing laser treatment to remove the tattoo, which typically requires several sessions.
“Now it’s getting removed, but it’s a lot,” she added.
Following her interview, Kristen and James also performed a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s song Hallelujah. However, the star gave her own comedic touch to the emotive tune by continually mispronouncing the word “hallelujah”.
