Kristin Davis dedicates Broadway performance to Gore Vidal

The celebrated author and playwright passed away at his home in Los Angeles after suffering complications from pneumonia.

His Broadway production The Best Man was nominated for a slew of Tony Awards after its 1960 debut, and its current revival, starring Davis, James Earl Jones, Cybill Shepherd and John Stamos, is thrilling New York audiences.

Sex and the City star Davis was stunned by the news of Vidal’s death, and she has vowed to make her performance in Wednesday’s show extra special in his honour.
