Kristin Davis had sleepless nights before baby arrived

Actress Kristin Davis had some good preparation for life as a new mother – she suffered sleepless nights for weeks before the baby’s birth. The Sex and the City star became a first-time mum in 2011 when she adopted newborn Gemma Rose, and she has now revealed she was wracked with anxiety in the run-up to her daughter’s arrival.
Davis was so nervous about becoming a mother that she would get up in the middle of the night for an online shopping session, buying toys and furniture for the nursery.
She tells British magazine Seven, “In all the pictures of me with her as a newborn, there are these dark circles under my eyes. I was so nervous. I’d get up in the middle of the night to buy nursery furniture online. They say don’t, because the adoption might fall through, but I thought: ‘That’s insane. I can’t bring a baby home to nothing.'”
