Kyle MacLachlan freaked out by bear surprise while camping

Twin Peaks star Kyle Maclachlan was once stunned by a bear while hiking in California’s Yosemite National Park.
The actor was outside, trying to get warm and dry after waking up to find his tent drenched with water, when he realised he wasn’t the only thing up and about at dawn.
Kyle, who has a wine company called Pursued By Bear, recalls, “It was a long time ago and I was hiking in Yosemite with a group and we had made camp the first night up, like, 10,000 feet, right next to a lake… We all had our tents out and the fire was going.
“I woke up early in the morning and the inside of my tent was completely full of water, everything was steeped in condensation. It was not a very good tent. It was so cold and I was hoping the sun would come out soon, but I couldn’t go back in the tent.
“Then I heard this ‘grrrrr’ sound and I looked up and it was a bear walking right past me! I was thinking to myself, ‘Oh my God, I’ve got to get back into that tent!’ The bear didn’t seem to care; he didn’t even look at me. It was weird seeing that big of an animal not in the zoo.”
