La La Land continued its award show dominance on Tuesday night (21Feb17) at the 19th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.

Damien Chazelle‘s much feted movie has bagged countless awards already this season, with industry experts now predicting it will sweep up at Sunday’s Oscars taking home 11 of the 14 gongs it’s up for – including Emma Stone winning her first Best Actress Academy Award.

On Tuesday, Damien added another piece of silverware to his collection, when La La Land’s Mary Zophres won the award for Excellence in Contemporary Film.

Interestingly, figures on awards show odds site GoldDerby.com show that La La Land is lagging behind Jackie in the Costume Design category at the Oscars.

Awards favorite Hidden Figures also didn’t go home empty handed at the Costume Designers Guild Awards, winning the Excellence in Period Film accolade for Renee Ehrlich Kalfus.

Hit Netflix show The Crown, based on the early reign of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, bagged the Outstanding Period Television Series prize. The show, which stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith, was also successful at the recent Golden Globe and SAG Awards.

Lily Collins was on hand to pick up her Lacoste Spotlight Award, as was Meryl Streep, who went home with the Distinguished Collaborator Award.

Other A-Listers in attendance at the Los Angeles prize giving included Mandy Moore, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
