Disgraced former cyclist Lance Armstrong is engaged to marry his longterm girlfriend.

The 45-year-old, who was previously engaged to Sheryl Crow, announced that Anna Hansen had accepted his proposal by sharing a picture of the couple looking at each other and smiling while sat on the back of a boat on Lake Austin in Texas. In the snap, Anna has an arm wrapped around his shoulder and the other placed against his chest, and an engagement ring can clearly be seen on her finger.

“She said….. YES!!!!” he wrote in the caption.

Lance met Anna through his charity work and they began dating in 2008. They are parents to Max, seven, and Olivia, six.

This will be Lance’s second marriage. He was previously married to Kristen Richard between 1998 to 2003 and they have three children; Luke, 17, and twin daughters Grace and Isabelle, 15.

In March (17), he opened up about his relationship with country singer Sheryl, who he dated between 2003 and 2006, when they called off their five-month engagement.

“It was a good ride. She’s a great lady. Obviously it didn’t work out, but I think and I hope she’s happy,” he told radio DJ Howard Stern. “She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids.”

Lance famously confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs during his career in a 2013 interview with Oprah Winfrey. He was stripped of his seven consecutive Tour de France wins and banned from sanctioned Olympic sports for life.

His doping scandal has been portrayed in 2013 documentary The Armstrong Lie and 2015 drama The Program, in which he was played by Ben Foster.
