Latin stars joining forces for Ecuador benefit concert

Latin singers including Maluma and Tommy Torres are joining forces for a concert to benefit victims of last month’s (Apr16) earthquake in Ecuador.
The natural disaster, which the nation’s officials have called “the worst tragedy in 60 years”, cost 600 people their lives, and now some of the biggest names in Latin music are coming together to raise money for the victims left behind in the rubble.
Ecuador Estoy Aqui at Miami will take place at Florida’s BankUnited Center on 11 May (16),
Among those set to take the stage are reggaeton star Maluma, singer/producer Tommy Torres, singers Franco de Vita, Mariana Vega, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Willy Chirino.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the United Nations Development Program.
Mexican band Mana have also agreed to donate the profits from their upcoming concerts in Ecuador towards disaster relief efforts. They were slated to perform in Guayaquil and Quito on 27 and 30 April (16), respectively, but postponed the gigs following the earthquakes.
They’ve rescheduled the concerts for 25 and 28 May (16).
