Laura Bell Bundy’s father dies

Country singer and actress Laura Bell Bundy is grieving the loss of her father.
The Hairspray star has taken to Instagram to share the sad news with fans, revealing her dad Donald R. Bundy died at his home on Monday (18Jun18), aged 75.
Sharing an old photo of father and daughter, she mourned, “Papa, I never got enough time with you. I would soak up our time together like a sponge. If there was a house and the guest was all my memories with you, I’d turn on all the the faucets slip into it’s (sic) structure and just drown myself in its joy. We understood each other.”
Laura went on to reminisce about other good times together, and vowed to keep his memory alive in the way she lives her life.
“I’ll see you in the moon, the birds, the beach, yellow hues, financial news, epiphanies, Motown symphonies, dance floors, and in how I walk in this journey,” she added.
Her father’s loss occurred just three weeks after she lost her grandmother, and Laura paid tribute to her loved ones as she prepared to return to the stage in Los Angeles on Wednesday (20Jun18) to open hit musical Sweet Charity.
“This show must go on… just like life,” she concluded her post. “But I know my dad and my grandma will be out there with the best seats in the house.”
