Lauren Holly: ‘I’ve never had plastic surgery’

Actress Lauren Holly has dismissed reports suggesting she has had cosmetic work done.
The NCIS star, who is funnyman Jim Carrey’s ex-wife, has often been the target of plastic surgery rumours, with gossips suggesting she’s had breast augmentation and a face lift, but she has always played down the tall nip and tuck tales.
That said, the Dumb & Dumber star is not against getting some work done, but she feels she may be too old.
“I almost feel like I might have missed that boat, but I’m not against it,” she tells Oprah Winfrey as part of an upcoming Where Are They Now? special. “I’m 51. Things change.”
Lauren is a little flattered by all the reports, because they prove she’s looking good in her 50s. And she puts that down to a natural beauty tip she uses to help her look younger.
“If a woman wants to look a little younger, gain a little weight, it’s a natural thing,” she continues. “I look a little fuller just from that. I’m OK with that.”
Lauren is not the only actress who prefers to keep her looks natural – Amanda Peet recently spoke about her fear of injecting anything into her face.
“I’ve never gotten Botox or fillers,” she told radio and TV personality Maria Menounos earlier this month (Mar16). “I’ve never done anything to my face that’s invasive.”
“I think it has a lot to do with having two girls. Maybe I’m afraid.”
And Watchmen star Malin Akerman believes the plastic surgery craze in Hollywood is all about ageism.
“There’s a lot of ageism in Hollywood – that’s why people are changing their faces and bodies,” she told the London Evening Standard last month (Feb16). “It’s crazy how much it affects people.”
“It’s also fascinating talking to a lot of directors (who say), ‘We can’t find women anymore who look like they’re in their 50s or 60s because they do so much work’. They are few and far between and that’s so sad.”
