LeAnn Rimes arrives home after journey from hell

Country singer Leann Rimes is counting her blessings at the end of a nightmare journey which included a seven-hour drive through a blizzard, severe delays and seeing a plane burst into flames at a Colorado airport. Rimes had been on her way home to Los Angeles following a winter vacation with her husband Eddie Cibrian at a popular celebrity ski location when they witnessed a horrifying plane crash at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport on Sunday (05Jan14).
The singer and her family then had to drive for hours through severe weather conditions in order to catch a flight to Los Angeles from Denver, Colorado and she later took to her Twitter.com page to document their troubles and assure fans they had arrived home safely.
She writes, “We are just getting off the plane in L.A. This has been quite a day. Counting our blessings even more so after seeing a tragedy & driving 7 hrs (hours) to Denver through tons of snow and traffic. Would have missed our flight if it wasn’t delayed. We are being watched over, that’s for sure… Hope all the other travellers make it home safely and many prayers for the victims & their families of the Aspen crash in this heartbreaking time.”
One person was killed and another two injured when the Bombardier Challenger 600 plane crashed and burst into flames as it attempted to land at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport.
