Lena Dunham left U.S. newswoman Maria Shriver flustered and lost for words after mentioning “penis” during a live TV interview on Friday (10Feb17).
The Girls star was making an appearance on U.S. breakfast show Today to promote the final season of her hit TV show, and during the interview Shriver mentioned to Dunham she enjoyed previewing the first three episodes.
After praising the actress, Dunham threw Shriver off track when she asked her if she “saw penis” during the episodes.
“Well, I saw more than that,” Shriver said as she laughed nervously. “You caught me there for a second. I’m not sure if you’re allowed to say that on television.”
“I won’t be coming back!” Dunham responded. “Going out with a bang!”
Shriver then turned to co-host Matt Lauer to ask for “help”.
“That’s the difference between generations,” Arnold Schwarzenegger’s estranged wife added. “I wasn’t brought up talking like that.”
