Rocker Lenny Kravitz is unfazed by his headline-grabbing stage-flashing incident in 2015 because he still prefers to go without underwear.
The American Woman hitmaker stunned fans at a concert in Stockholm, Sweden two years ago when he crouched mid-song, causing his tight leather trousers to rip – and his pierced manhood to be exposed to the crowd.
Photos and video footage of what he later dubbed “#PenisGate” went viral, but it didn’t prompt the star to start wearing boxers under his stage outfits.
In a recent interview with Mr. Porter’s The Journal, Lenny freely admitted he had also gone commando for the chat.
“Do I have any underwear on now? No,” he shared. “Thus the problems that I incur.”
The singer went on to joke about the infamous wardrobe malfunction.
“I didn’t rip them,” he laughed. “They became ripped. It was fine. But it was a little cold in Sweden. I would’ve warmed it up a little, had I known.”
At the time, Lenny shrugged off his eye-popping accident by taking to Twitter to share a screenshot of a text message exchange between himself and Aerosmith star Steven Tyler.

The conversation read: “Dude… No underwear and pierced… F**k me.. You never showed me that s**t.”
Kravitz simply captioned the post, “#PenisGate”.
Nowadays, the fashionable musician typically sticks to “denim, denim, denim” whenever he’s at his home in the Bahamas, where he adopts a more laid-back approach to life.
“I’m over the whole fashion thing,” he explained. “On the island, I wash my clothes with a hose. I have a bottle of Dr Bronner’s soap, almond. I wash my body with it, I wash my clothes with it. And then I put them on a rock to dry.”
Lenny is also enjoying the health benefits of a clean diet, thanks to the organic farm he owns in Eleuthera, insisting he’s “never felt so vibrant as I do right now”.
“I eat primarily raw, foods that are alive, vibrating, emit energy,” the 53-year-old said. “I eat off the land in the Bahamas.”
