Leona Lewis celebrates birthday with circus-themed party

British pop star Leona Lewis celebrated her 29th birthday on Thursday night (03Apr14) by throwing a kooky party in London complete with mini-lookalikes and circus performers. The singer headed to the Cirque le Soir nightspot in the British capital to mark her big day, and her party was themed around her biggest hit single, Bleeding Love.
Guests included her mentor Simon Cowell and music manager Louis Walsh, and the entertainment featured circus performers and transvestite Chrissy Darling, who was dressed as Lewis in her Bleeding Love video.
The event also featured dwarves dressed as Lewis, Cowell and Walsh, who presented the star with a lavish birthday cake.
An onlooker tells WENN, “Leona and her friends were all getting into the spirit of the night by wearing elaborate headpieces and dancing on the tables as a steady stream of circus performers strutted their stuff in front of them.
“They started off with a pair of contortionists, before break dancers, cross-dressers and even a giant all came out to wish her happy birthday. And she was amazed when a strong-man folded a frying pan in front of her eyes, before bending a thick iron bar into a heart shape and presenting it to her as a gift.”
During the event, Lewis also frolicked in a ball pool with her friends and later enjoyed an afterparty at a nearby nightclub.
