Lewis Capaldi keen to find love on reality TV show

Lewis Capaldi is officially looking for love – and he’d even go on reality TV to find the perfect date.

Earlier this year (2019), Lewis, who is currently one of the U.K.’s most successful music acts, told Britain’s The Sun newspaper his ascent to the top of the charts hasn’t changed his luck when it comes to love, quipping: “I haven’t felt the touch of a woman in many years.”

And speaking to Britain’s Hits Radio on Wednesday, August 8th, the Someone You Loved star revealed he’s still on the market, and would be up for a stint on a Celebrity version of holiday dating show Love Island if it improved his chances of meeting the right person.

“If they ever do a celebrity version of Love Island, sign me up,” the 22-year-old Scottish singer/ songwriter laughed. “They need some diversity on that show. ‘They need a man with his pale belly hanging out with his stretch marks and everything. You need to see it, so yeah I’d be up for it, I’m looking for love.”

The hit reality show’s format began as Celebrity Love Island in 2005, the show only lasted two seasons before it was axed a year later. While the civilian version of the revived show recently completed its fifth season, there are no plans for a celebrity reboot.
