Liam Gallagher: ‘I’m still upset with Noel but I’ll get through it’

Feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are moving ever closer to ending their stand-off and appear to be back in correspondence. The siblings fell out backstage at a festival in 2009 and the spat led to the end of Oasis – and four years of silence between the Gallaghers.
But both have recently talked about a possible get together in 2014 to mark the 20th anniversary of Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe – and Liam has now revealed relations between him and Noel have thawed.
In a new interview with Scotland’s Daily Record, the Beady Eye frontman says, “I am (still) p**sed off but I am getting through it, so anything could happen. We could get back together. I haven’t spoken to our kid since 2009 so it’s a long way off.
“(But) outside a band, he’s cool as f**k. As brothers in a band, me and him don’t get on. He’s surrounded by idiots and I’m not. Until he loses a few clowns he’ll remain in idiotville. We’ll get over it, though.”
And the former Oasis frontman admits his brother has reached out to wish him luck with the new Beady Eye album, revealing he plans to give it a listen.
Liam adds, “He’ll probably have a listen to this album. He should do (it) because it is really good. It’s not perfect, but it is a step up for us in places. Noel has mastered the art of writing songs for years. I’m still learning.”
But he couldn’t resist a dig at his brother: “He’s way ahead when it comes to music without a doubt. But I p**s all over him vocally. I destroy him.”
