Liberace’s former lover Scott Thorson has escaped another jail sentence after a judge agreed he should attend rehab instead. Thorson, who was portrayed by Matt Damon in acclaimed 2013 TV movie Behind the Candelabra, breached his probation agreement when he failed a drug test recently – and he was facing another lengthy jail term.
But, in court in Nevada on Wednesday (11Sep13), he was ordered to rehab after confessing he’s a drug addict and begging the judge for a second chance to complete a court-ordered rehab programme, according to TMZ.com.
