Rapper Lil Scrappy is a free man again after he was released from jail on Wednesday (24Apr13). The hip-hop star, real name Darryl Kevin Richardson II, surrendered himself to police in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday (23Apr13), after lawmakers issued a warrant for his arrest over a possible probation violation of his 2008 marijuana possession charge.
The issue stemmed from his refusal to submit a second urine test after the original sample he provided last month (Mar13) was cold to the touch, prompting the suggestion it had been tampered with.
A judge decided to recall the warrant on Wednesday upon request from Richardson’s lawyer and he was allowed to go home.
A hearing has been set for 16 May (13) to resolve the issue.
