Lily Collins: ‘I haven’t been hiding romance with Jamie Campbell Bower’

British actress Lily Collins has finally confirmed she is dating her movie co-star Jamie Campbell Bower, but insists they have not purposely tried to “hide anything”. The daughter of rocker Phil Collins was first linked to Bower last summer (Jul12), after striking up a relationship with him on the set of The Mortal Instruments. The couple has managed to remain relatively low-key for the past year, but Collins claims it has not been on purpose.
She tells America’s Seventeen magazine, “We’ve made a conscious decision to go out and live life. I’m not one to hide anything, but I don’t feel the need to comment directly on it… I think it would be a shame to not live in the moment and not enjoy everything that’s happening in fear of other people’s opinions.”
However, Collins admits her good girl reputation doesn’t make her a good tabloid target – because she’s too clean-cut to gossip about.
She says, “(In high school), I didn’t feel the pleasure in drinking or doing drugs. I wanted to remember the fun moments that I had with my friends and not wake up and go, ‘Um, I think I had fun?'”
Campbell Bower was previously engaged to his Harry Potter co-star Bonnie Wright, but the pair called off marriage plans last year (12).
