Lindsay Lohan is actively “harassing” Hollywood producer Lorne Michaels to move ahead with a Mean Girls sequel.

The actress starred in the cult 2004 movie, which was adapted by Tina Fey, and she has made no secret of her desire to reunite with castmates Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert for a follow-up.

In December (16), Lindsay told CNN she had already “written a treatment” for the proposed sequel, but was still trying to convince movie executives at Paramount Pictures to get onboard the project.
Now the 30-year-old reveals she has even paid Lorne a visit in person, on the New York set of his popular comedy show Saturday Night Live.

“I went to SNL the other day and I was like, harassing Lorne, like, ‘We have to do (Mean Girls sequel),'” she told U.S. talk show The View.

She continued, “(I told him), ‘I’ll write the treatment, Tina’s too busy, it’s fine.’ So hopefully (it will convince him to work on another instalment).”

Lindsay admits she has faith movie bosses will make the right decision about the franchise’s future.
“They’re smart with timing so it’ll come when the time’s right,” she added. “It’s a great movie.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay is keeping busy with another passion project – a reality show she is preparing to pitch to TV executives.

“We just finished the sizzle reel for this show that I’m doing, producing and created with my business partner, called Nerd…,” she explained. “I basically… go to someone (a member of the public) and I hijack their social media for 24 hours… and dare them to do things that they think they’re good at, and they win money and it goes to charity… It’s really funny.”

No further details about Nerd have been officially announced.
