Lindsay Lohan relocated to London to escape TV series mayhem

Lindsay Lohan moved to London after her reality TV show aired in the U.S. in a bid to escape the fall-out from the show. The Mean Girls actress lived in Los Angeles during the height of her fame but relocated to her native New York following her release from rehab last year (13).
Her life in the Big Apple was filmed for a docu-series on Oprah Winfrey’s TV network, and Lohan admits she decamped to the British capital in the aftermath of the show’s screening earlier this year (14) to escape the increased attention.
She tells MailOnline, “I wasn’t used to for a long time hearing my name on the television every second, whenever I turned on the TV it was promoting the OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) show and it was just a lot and it was kind of overwhelming and everyone knew where I lived.
“I moved to New York to find peace and I wanted to do something very real and show people who I am and because it’s a reality show it had to be done a certain way, and things had to look a certain way for ratings… That wasn’t my intention of moving to New York (sic). I again got overwhelmed with that and wanted to get away for a minute and I came to London.”
Lohan has been living in London since May (14). She will begin work on her theatre debut in Speed-The-Plow later this month (Aug14).
