Jennifer Lopez has described suggestions that she is racist for using the “n-word” in a remix of her new song “I’m Real” as “hurtful,” The Associated Press reports.
The 30-year-old singer and actress performed the original version of the song on NBC’s Today Show Friday and is being criticized for the remix.
During an interview between songs, Lopez called the allegations absurd and hateful and said the song, which was written by Ja Rule, was not meant to be hurtful to anybody.
Lopez also denied rumors that she was pregnant.
When asked if she and boyfriend Cris Judd were getting married, she said people would have to wait and see.
