M*A*S*H star Allan Arbus dies

M*A*S*H star Allan Arbus has passed away at the age of 95. The actor died on Friday (19Apr13) at his Los Angeles home, according to The New York Times.
Born in the New York, Arbus became a photographer for the U.S. Army and teamed up with his future wife Diane Nemerov to shoot advertising spreads for magazines like Vogue and Glamour.
After the couple divorced in 1969, the star embarked on a career in entertainment, landing the lead role in Robert Downey Sr.’s cult classic Greaser’s Palace.
Arbus then starred alongside Bette Davis in Scream, Pretty Peggy, before finding fame as the sarcastic psychiatrist Major Sidney Freedman in the hit U.S. TV series M*A*S*H.
His other credits include stints in Law & Order, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Starsky and Hutch.
Arbus is survived by his actress wife Mariclare Costello.
