Madonna has beaten Lady Gaga and Bon Jovi to become the highest-paid musician in 2013, according to Forbes magazine bosses. The pop superstar earned an estimated $125 million (£83.3 million) in the past year – $45 million (£30 million) ahead of her nearest rival Gaga and $46 million (£30.6 million) more than rockers Bon Jovi.
All three earned the bulk of their annual fortune from touring.
Country music star Toby Keith and Coldplay round out the new top five.
