Maggie Q teams up with PETA for new anti-fur campaign

Actress and animal rights activist Maggie Q has stripped down for a new PETA campaign to remind fans to shun fashion furs this holiday season.
The Live Free or Die Hard star, who frequently takes part in People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) campaigns, has posed in a low-cut black bodysuit while holding the bloody skinned carcass of a fake rabbit to hammer home the horrors animals face as they’re stripped of their coats.
“Eyewitness exposes of fur farms in China, the world’s largest exporter of fur, have revealed that animals are confined to barren wire cages – exposed to all weather extremes – and that many go insane from the constant confinement and frantically pace and circle (in) their cages,” Maggie says. “I want people to make the connection that the choice to wear fur is directly contributing to mass suffering.”
The new ad was released this week (begs20Nov17) to coincide with the retail industry’s traditional end-of-year sales push, starting with the Black Friday rush after Thursday’s (23Nov17) Thanksgiving festivities in the U.S.
Maggie isn’t the only celebrity to join forces with PETA for anti-fur campaigns – fellow actresses Olivia Munn, Alicia Silverstone, Eva Mendes, Taraji P. Henson, and Penelope Cruz have fronted similar ads in the past.
