Maisie Williams has shared top secret Game of Thrones ending with her mom

Maisie Williams has read the final Game Of Thrones scripts and insists she knows exactly how the hit series will end.

The 20-year-old has played Arya Stark in the fantasy show since 2011, and is currently shooting episodes for the eighth and final season which will air in 2019. While fans of the programme have enjoyed speculating and sharing theories regarding how the story will conclude, Maisie revealed that she is already in the know, and has even shared the ending with her mother.

“Absolutely! I do, I know the end of Game of Thrones,” she said proudly when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (20Feb18).

“I was just in my bed I think, reading (the script). It was just surreal to be honest. Like being with this show for so long, and then also having the following that it does. Everyone is waiting for this moment and you just read it and it’s just incredible.”

The actress, who recently lent her voice to clay animation movie Early Man, joked that she had to lie down after processing the gripping information, and though she has been sworn to secrecy by the show’s producers, there is one person she couldn’t help but tell.

“Actually I sent my mum the scripts. I was like ‘I have the Game of Thrones scripts,'” she teased. “I was like ‘do you want them?’ and she was like ‘yeah’ and I said ‘can’t have them.’ (But) I did eventually.”

However, Jimmy noted that HBO programming president Casey Bloys previously announced that the series, which also stars Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke, will be filming multiple endings to prevent any leaks before the episode airs on screen.

“Well I heard this and I immediately thought I don’t think we’ve got the budget to shoot lots of different endings,” Maisie mused.

“And as we know, sometimes presidents don’t always tell the truth,” she added cheekily.
