Malcolm-Jamal Warner is a first-time dad

Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner has reportedly become a first-time father.

The Cosby Show star’s friend Phynjuar Thomas revealed to the New York Daily News the baby was born last week (ends09Jun17).

According to the newspaper, the baby’s mother is an attorney from Connecticut and the couple is “very much in love”.

“I am elated over Malcolm’s new child,” Thomas said, as she appeared to suggest the newborn is a girl.

“I love him. I hope they name the baby after me. Phynjuar is a beautiful name.”

Thomas is the mother of Warner’s late The Cosby Show co-star Michelle Thomas, who he previously dated. The actor was reportedly by Michelle’s side when she passed away of cancer at the age of 30 in 1998. He has remained close to Phynjuar ever since.
