Mandy Moore shuts down nose job rumors

Mandy Moore has denied rumors that she once had plastic surgery on her nose.

The actress often transforms her appearance for her role as Rebecca Pearson in hit NBC family drama This Is Us, with flashforward scenes requiring her to wear prosthetics to make her look much older.

While Mandy is open to changing her looks for parts, she has now shot down speculation that she once underwent a nose job.

“I remember seeing some blog post that said I got a nose job,” she recalled in a chat with PopSugar. “I was like, ‘That’s weird – my nose is pretty imperfect.’ I have a crinkled part underneath the bridge of my nose and I remember laughing like, ‘I feel like I would have fixed that had I had a nose job.’ I don’t know, maybe it was just a weird picture or weird make-up or shading or something.”

Mandy went on to explain that plastic surgery rumours are pretty pervasive in Hollywood. And though the brunette beauty is not interested in going under the knife, she is not about to judge anyone else for doing so.

“People think everyone in Hollywood has had a nose job or some work done, but it’s not always true. People are going to believe what they want, and that’s fine. And if having work done is going to make somebody feel better about themselves, then more power to them,” the 34-year-old insisted.

In addition, Mandy also spoke about some of her beauty regrets, including when she wore lots of lip gloss and glittery eyeshadow when she was breaking into the music industry as a teenager.

But the star has learned lots of tips from make-up experts over the course of her career and is determined to sport a very elegant look when she marries her fiance Taylor Goldsmith.

“I just want to feel like the best version of myself, not too fussy or done-up… I’ve heard that brides regret their hair or make-up; that they sort of forced themselves into this idea of what they thought they should look like at their wedding. It wasn’t true to who they really are. I don’t want to fall into that trap,” she smiled.
