Marc Anthony slams Donald Trump in U.S. presidential hopeful’s hometown

Latin superstar Marc Anthony used his sold-out concert in U.S. presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s hometown of New York City to rally against the politician and his run for the White House on Saturday night (06Feb16).
The Puerto Rican star has been vocal about his dislike for the real estate mogul over the past few months, after Trump made controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants to the U.S.
And Anthony continued his crusade again the TV personality at the end of his Madison Square Garden show, slamming Trump for his sensational anti-Latino comments.
“I’m proud to be f**king Puerto Rican,” Anthony exclaimed, “I’m proud to be Latino in the United States of America… I see people here (holding up flags) from Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico. We’re all proud of our culture.”
Anthony, who has pledged his support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, continued, “No matter where you come from, we’re Latinos. We have to take care our ourselves. What I want to say is before I leave is ‘F**k Donald Trump!’ I want him to hear it in his house. Wake that motherf**ker up!”
The audience cheered in support and gave Anthony a standing ovation as he began his final song of the night.
Earlier in the day, Anthony was honoured with a plaque from officials at the Guinness World Records, after landing the title for most year-end bestselling albums in the tropical albums’ chart by a solo artist. He earned the record thanks to his albums Desde un Principio: From the Beginning, Libre and 3.0.
“I cannot think of a better way of celebrating my return to Madison Square Garden and be presented with this recognition here at home, where everything began with just a dream,” he said in a statement. “I am honoured to receive this special recognition from Guinness World Records.”
Anthony’s Madison Square Garden show marked his first concert in New York City in 10 years.
