Marcus Mumford spent wedding night in hospital

British rocker Marcus Mumford spent his wedding night in hospital with a friend who injured himself during the reception. The Mumford & Sons frontman wed actress Carey Mulligan in a barn in Somerset, England last year (Apr12) but instead of spending the evening partying with his new bride and celebrity guests Sienna Miller, Jake Gyllenhaal and Colin Firth, the musician had to take a pal to the nearest emergency room.
A friend of the star tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday, “One of his best mates got drunk and wandered upstairs from the reception into the honeymoon suite and, for some reason, barricaded himself inside a wardrobe.
“Later, Marcus’ father John managed to get inside the room and the wardrobe somehow fell on to the guest’s head. Marcus ran upstairs and found his friend with his head bleeding. Heroically, he took him to the nearest A&E (accident and emergency) department and waited for him to get stitched up.”
