A Buddy Cop TV Show StarringMariah Carey and Sharon Stone?

Mariah Carey is open to joining Sharon Stone in a TV police show.

The Hero singer and Sharon hit the red carpet together at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (07Jan18) – prompting a storm of social media comments.

One came from staff at NBC, who tweeted on the TV network’s official account, “BRB, developing a buddy cop pilot for @sharonstone and @MariahCarey. #GoldenGlobes.”

The musician and actress, who has received two Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations as a member of the casts of Precious and The Butler, replied that she was open to the offer – as long as she could add some bling to her uniform.

“Only if we can alter the uniforms and wear diamonds as well (blushing smiley) @sharonstone,” she wrote.

The Basic Instinct star is yet to respond to the suggestion.

If NBC executives follow through on the offer, Mariah and Sharon won’t be the first stars to be cast in a project via social media.

A 2014 photograph of Lupita Nyong’o and Rihanna seated together at Paris Fashion Week, went viral last year (17) after a Twitter user suggested the duo should be cast in a crime thriller.

“They look like they’re in a heist movie, with Rihanna as the tough-as-nails leader-master thief and Lupita as the genius computer hacker,” the fan wrote.

The concept has reportedly been taken up by bosses at the Netflix streaming service, with Ava DuVernay mooted as director.
