Marilyn Manson opens up about sacking Twiggy Ramirez

Marilyn Manson sacked Twiggy Ramirez because of musical reasons, as well as the rape allegation made by the bassist’s ex Jessicka Addams.
The shock rocker, real name Brian Warner, fired Twiggy in October last year (17), after Jessicka, a musician with the group Jack Off Jill, alleged he raped her and subjected her to physical and psychological abuse when they dated in the 1990s.
In a new interview with British music magazine Kerrang!, the 48-year-old said that Twiggy, who first joined Marilyn’s band in 1993, and his “musical relationship” had deteriorated before the dismissal.
“I did not divorce Twiggy as a friend or brother, because I still care about him greatly,” he said. “But I can’t say that my musical relationship with Twiggy has been good for several years.”
Marilyn went on to explain how he has found a new musical soulmate in Tyler Bates, who co-wrote his 2015 record The Pale Emperor, adding: “I didn’t want to let negative energy back in my life.”
Responding to Jessicka’s accusations, Twiggy, real name Jeordie White, issued a statement saying he “did not condone non-consensual sex of any kind” but added, “If I have caused anyone pain I apologize and truly regret it.”
Sweet Dreams singer Marilyn added to Kerrang! that Twiggy wasn’t the only old associate he had cut out over the course of 2017.
“There were other people in my life that I thought were my friends that I had to cut out this year, a lot of betrayals that surprised me, and I had to clean house and adopt and new attitude,” he explained. “People mistook my kindness and generosity for weakness.”
The rocker’s turbulent year included a feud with former pal Justin Bieber over T-shirts, intense criticism over the use of fake firearms during concerts and a horrific injury he suffered when a stage prop shaped like a giant pair of guns fell on top of him. Marilyn broke his leg in two places in the accident.
