Mark Ronson has reportedly split from Rebecca Schwartz, his girlfriend of seven months.
The Uptown Funk hitmaker got together with the Saturday Night Live production team member at the end of last year (2018), following his heartbreaking divorce from the model Josephine de La Baume.
He only confirmed that he and Rebecca were an item in March, but according to British newspaper The Sun, they have already broken up as they struggled with the pressures of work.
“Mark has had a really busy six months and juggling that with a new relationship has been tough,” a source close to Mark explains. “They had a lot in common but there had been rows. It was starting to take its toll on both of them.
“Eventually they just decided that maybe they weren’t right for each other. It’s really sad for Mark as it was his first serious relationship since his divorce, but he is keeping his head down and focusing on his work.”
The 43-year-old musician confirmed his romance with Rebecca in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in which he revealed how his divorce had inspired his new album Late Night Feelings. Mark and Josephine were married in 2011 but finalized their split in 2018.
“I don’t want to seem exploitative.. (Joséphine has her) own pain and trauma,” he said. “Both of us are…living it. The simple fact of the matter is I was going through these things, and I had to make a record. They were gonna collide at some point.”
Revealing he was no longer single, he added: “Yeah, I am in a relationship. It’s good. I’m dating a nice girl.”
Late Night Feelings is due out on June 21st.
