Mark Wahlberg no longer attached to Uncharted movie

Mark Wahlberg has dropped out of the big screen adaptation of Uncharted.
The movie, which will be based on the popular video game franchise, has been in the works for several years, with the Deepwater Horizon star attached to star as Nathan Drake under s string of different directors.
However, Wahlberg has now revealed he is not appearing in the film.
“As of now, no, I’m not attached,” he told We Got This Covered.
Shawn Levy is preparing to film the movie next year (17), but it is unclear who will take on the lead role.
“I’ve been interested in this project for years,” Levy told Collider last month (Nov16). “I’ve played and loved every iteration of the game. I think it’s largely a popularly accepted notion that it’s as cinematic a game as we’ve had, maybe ever, certainly of late. And it’s cinematic in that it’s not only wildly visual, but it’s really rooted in character and a very specific tone and a sense of fun.”
Joe Carnahan is writing the script for the movie.
