Mark Wahlberg’s representative denies connection to steroid company

Mark Wahlberg’s representative has shot down allegations the movie star was involved with an illegal anabolic steroid distributor.
Wellness Fitness and Nutrition (WFN) owner Richard Rodriguez, who is currently in jail at the Brooklyn Detention Center in New York, claims he met the Lone Survivor through a coach and they began working together, according to TheWrap.com.
“I’m not trying to monetise anything at all,” he told YouTube user Jon Bravo in a phone interview. “You know, at the end of the day, I’m just trying to clear my name. The bust at my company did not just involve one person – it was a slew of individuals.”
“(There) is an individual that’s very well-known and will help me in extending into a market (celebrities) that I’m very interested in,” he adds. “The individual’s name is Mark Wahlberg.”
Rodriguez claims his relationship with Wahlberg ended when the actor got “creative” when it came to shipping the steroids.
“(Wahlberg) was a really good person, but as it started to get more indepth – our relationship – he just started to become a little bit more demanding,” Rodriguez adds. “I just chose to – once I started to see his true colors – to sever my ties.”
However, Wahlberg’s representative has denied the jailed WFN owner’s claims, insisting they are not true.
“These accusations are completely false,” Wahlberg’s representative states.
A source has also told TheWrap.com Wahlberg has never met Rodriguez or used steroids.
In 2017, Rodriguez was arrested, along with eight others, for “operating an international steroid distribution ring”. He subsequently took a plea deal and was jailed.
