Marlee Matlin holds minute’s silence at ball game for Colorado victims

A midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora turned to tragedy on Friday morning (20Jul12) when suspected gunman James Holmes killed 12 and injured 59 in a packed movie theatre.

Matlin told her Twitter.com fans she was “shocked and saddened” by the massacre, and she used her appearance at the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim game in California to mark the tragedy.

In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, “Signing National Anthem at Angel’s Stadium but first dedicating a moment of silence for victims of Aurora tragedy. So proud each time I get to sign the National Anthem.”
