Marlon Brando Son’s Fury at Estate Sale

The eldest son of late actor Marlon Brando is furious about the crass manner in
which his father’s belongings are being prepared for sale by auction on
June 30.

Christian Brando is demanding he be given items including his father’s
correspondence with Martin Luther King and a 14-carat gold St Christopher’s
medallion before they go on sale at New York auction house Christie’s.

Christian’s lawyer, Theresa Bingham, says, “There are many things I don’t
think his father wanted sold. They are selling Brando‘s Medicare card–it’s
just too tacky.”

But Elizabeth Bawden, the lawyer representing the estate, insists all
beneficiaries are being treated equally and that she’d “gone to great lengths”
to appease Christian, who was convicted of killing his sister’s boyfriend in
1990.

The Godfather star died last year aged 80, leaving 11 children.
