Master P heading up new urban division at Cinq Music

Hip-hop veteran Master P has landed a new gig as the President of Urban Music at rising label Cinq Music.
The Make ‘Em Say Uhh! star will be responsible for discovering “untapped” talent for the new division of Cinq, a firm which has so far focused on its Latin music roster, with artists like Jory, Nengo Flow, and Justin Quile.
Master P, real name Percy Miller, tells, “I’m looking for the best talent and the talent could be raw, but they gotta be hard workers. They gotta believe in their product and they gotta invest their time just like we’re gonna invest our money. They gotta really want it. We’re looking for those diamonds in the rough (sic).”
The 47-year-old is no stranger to the corporate side of the music industry – he founded rap’s iconic No Limit Records, which hit its popularity peak in the late 1990s.
