Matt Smith stole the spotlight at James Corden’s wedding reception due to his drunken antics.
The Crown actor made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday night (11Jan18), and told of how he attended host James‘ wedding to Julia Carey back in 2012.
James shared that his pal had become carried away at the bar at one point and in many ways was “the star” of the after-party, with Matt admitting he struggled to recall much of the big day.
“I’ve got a scar on my chin where I fell up the stairs. I fell in a fire, twice. It wasn’t alight, thank God,” he shared. “I danced with Kylie Minogue, which was glorious.”
Matt also recalled how he attempted to pull a fast one on James‘ father Malcolm Corden at the end of the night when everyone was trying to leave.
“Then your dad put me in a car. (He said), ‘Look Matt, come on son, it’s time.’ And he put me in the car, it was a silver Mercedes, I got in and closed the door. And I popped around the side and ran back inside (to the party),” the 35-year-old laughed, adding: “What a wedding!”
