Matthew Broderick will narrate the musical version of beloved holiday film A Christmas Story when it hits TV in December (17).
The 1983 holiday classic is being turned into a three-hour event and Broderick will front the show as grown-up Ralphie Parker, reminiscing about his favorite Christmas memories.
A Christmas Story chronicles the life of bespectacled Ralphie as he attempts to persuade his parents to buy him a BB gun for Christmas, while battling school bullies and a shopping mall Santa.

A Christmas Story Live! will also star Maya Rudolph, who will play young Ralphie’s mother. It will air on 17 December (17).
