Matthew Morrison donating album proceeds to gay rights charity

Matthew Morrison is continuing his support for gay rights issues by donating a portion of the proceeds from his new album to help promote marriage equality for same-sex couples. Earlier this month (May13), the Glee star was honoured for his work in support of The Human Rights Campaign, and now he has chosen to hand over a slice of his record sales money to the charity, the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) advocacy group in the U.S.
Morrison’s second album, Where It All began, a collection of Broadway hits, will be released next month (Jun13) and a portion of proceeds from the album’s pre-order sales via online retailer Amazon.com will benefit the organisation.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, Morrison writes, “For every album pre-order through (Amazon), partial proceeds will go to (The Human Rights Campaign)’s efforts to support (marriage equality).”
