Mayim Bialik Named New Host Of Candid Camera

The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik has landed a new job as the host of TV series Candid Camera.

The Emmy-nominated actress will host the new version of the classic prank show alongside Peter Funt, the son of the original 1948 programme’s creator and host, Allen Funt.

Bialik, who has long been a fan of the series, says, “Since I was a child, I have found it impossible to not smile when I hear, ‘Smile! You’re on Candid Camera!’ and I am honoured and tickled pink to get to be a part of this amazing franchise.”

Production has already begun on the reboot, which will also feature Broadway star Megan Hilty, and the series will premiere in the U.S. on 11 August (14).
