McCormack heading back to Broadway

The Canadian actor will join a star-studded cast and portray Joseph Cantwell, a U.S. senator vying for a presidential nomination in the production.

McCormack, who last hit the stage in 2006 for Some Girl(s), will appear opposite theatre veterans James Earl Jones, John Larroquette, Angela Lansbury, Michael McKean and Candice Bergen.

The show will be directed by Michael Wilson and is slated to begin previews on 6 March (12).

Gore Vidal’s The Best Man received a Tony Award nomination in 2001 for Best Revival of a Play during its last New York City run.
