Meat Loaf’s tour on hold as he cancels another show

Meat Loaf’s beleaguered farewell tour has come to a halt again as the rocker has cancelled plans to get back on the road after members of his band fell ill. The Bat Out of Hell star axed a gig in Nottingham, England on Sunday (14Apr13) due to illness among his musicians, but he planned to resurrect the shows in Manchester, England on Wednesday (17Apr13).
However, he has now called off the Manchester Arena gig on the advice of doctors.
A statement released on the star’s behalf reads, “Unfortunately not all band members have recovered and the doctors have not given us the green light to go ahead with… (the Manchester) show as planned… Meat, the band and crew are massively disappointed to have to postpone a second show and send love and apologies. Thank you for understanding.”
Meat Loaf hopes to get the tour up and running again in Sheffield, England on Friday (19Apr13) and plans to reschedule the Manchester date.
The rocker has declared his U.K. Last At Bat tour to be his final run of gigs after struggling to regain his fitness following knee surgery last year (12).
