The sequels to Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, The Smurfs and Despicable Me have joined 16 other films in the battle for the 2014 Best Animated Feature Oscar. The Croods, Epic, Free Birds, Frozen, Planes, Turbo and Monsters University will also compete for the big prize following the release of the Academy Awards shortlist on Tuesday (05Nov13).
The official nominations for the 86th Academy Awards will be announced on 16 January (14). The Oscars will be presented on 2 March (14).
